{"id":816,"date":"2014-10-29T06:00:18","date_gmt":"2014-10-29T06:00:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/yourglamourconnection.com\/blog\/?p=816"},"modified":"2014-10-27T23:32:29","modified_gmt":"2014-10-27T23:32:29","slug":"missing-tooth","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/yourglamourconnection.com\/blog\/missing-tooth\/","title":{"rendered":"Missing Tooth"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>WARNING, pictures of my dental surgery are below.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/yourglamourconnection.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/Makeup-Artist-label2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-807\" src=\"http:\/\/yourglamourconnection.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/Makeup-Artist-label2.jpg\" alt=\"Makeup Artist label\" width=\"1872\" height=\"432\" srcset=\"http:\/\/yourglamourconnection.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/Makeup-Artist-label2.jpg 1872w, http:\/\/yourglamourconnection.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/Makeup-Artist-label2-300x69.jpg 300w, http:\/\/yourglamourconnection.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/Makeup-Artist-label2-1024x236.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/yourglamourconnection.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/Makeup-Artist-label2-624x144.jpg 624w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1872px) 100vw, 1872px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Tooth\" width=\"625\" height=\"352\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/2NUeufDp8kY?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I\u00a0admit it,\u00a0I love my wiggle tooth, but\u00a0I didn\u2019t always.<\/p>\n<p>When I was nine I knocked out my front three teeth, and the excessive dental work began. \u00a0I hated the gap, it made it so obvious what missing and what was so clearly wrong with me.\u00a0 The funny thing is that those feelings of inadequacy were really coming from me, and not from others.\u00a0 Sure, kids teased me, but what made the situation worse was how I handled it. \u00a0In my book <em>How to Embrace Your Inner Hotness<\/em> I teach how to get over self-taunts and about how to change the perceptions of ourselves to see the radiant women we really are.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve learned in my nearly 20 years of working with women in beauty, that we all have an area, feature, or something we just don\u2019t like about ourselves.\u00a0 Yes, there are makeup tricks that can minimize facial features to bring out our best; but I really love helping women see how beautiful they really are, and helping them start the real work\u2014seeing themselves differently.\u00a0 I can meet with you one-on-one through Skype. \u00a0I am here to help you see that you are far hotter than you think you are!<\/p>\n<p>Through helping other women, I actually got so good at changing my perception that I LOVE my wiggle tooth!\u00a0 I\u2019m not saying that I want to have a retainer with a tooth attached my whole life\u2026 but then again, maybe I do!\u00a0 The tooth is such a relatable subject and always an instant icebreaker.\u00a0 I often joke that &#8220;I am soooo HOT, I don\u2019t need all my teeth!\u201d \u00a0It is funny&#8211; I like funny. \u00a0 But Mr. Greene doesn&#8217;t love it so much&#8230; I guess when he takes his wife out a on a <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-818 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/yourglamourconnection.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/IMG_0082-e1414452442793-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"Oral Surgery \" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"http:\/\/yourglamourconnection.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/IMG_0082-e1414452442793-225x300.jpg 225w, http:\/\/yourglamourconnection.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/IMG_0082-e1414452442793.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/>romantic date, he would like to look across the table at a full toothed smile. \u00a0It\u2019s particularly annoying to him because we have already paid to have it repaired, and I\u2019m putting it off because it\u2019s so funny.\u00a0 I guess I can see his point of view on this.<\/p>\n<p>So, on October 16<sup>th<\/sup>, I reluctantly dragged myself to the oral surgeon.\u00a0 I was so sad\u2014not only would my adorable toothlessness be gone, but I knew it was going to hurt.\u00a0 I\u2019m not really one who thinks being drilled on is fun.\u00a0 With that said, I firmly believe in choosing to have fun in any situation \u2014 here in this picture with the drill head attached to the recently placed implant.<\/p>\n<p>I would like to point out that my lip color survived all of this with grace\u2014 meaning it stays on like a rock star!
